RECAP: DGL Celebrates 75 Years as a Chapter!

Brothers honor anniversary with awards ceremony, entertainment, and more...

Delta Gamma Lambda (DGL) recently honored its 75 years of service to the community as a chapter for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Brothers gathered together in an upscale affair and celebrated with an evening of music, food, an awards ceremony, and entertainment at the Sharonville Convention Center.

Proceeds from ticket purchases were donated to the DGL Annual Holiday Food Drive. The evening included a cocktail reception, dinner buffet, jazz music from Ed "Sax" Thomas, and the musical stylings of DJ Guy Wes.

The Delta Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity was chartered on December 20, 1947. The chapter serves the greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region. We provide mentorship to four college chapters in the Greater Cincinnati region including, Alpha Alpha chapter seated at the University of Cincinnati; Sigma Gamma chapter seated at Xavier University; Delta Upsilon chapter seated at Miami University, and Rho Gamma chapter seated at Northern Kentucky University. Throughout the years we have partnered with organizations such as the March of Dimes, The Boy Scouts of America, Planned Parenthood, Big Brother/Big Sisters and others in serving the community.

We want to thank everyone who helped to make this event a success. We look forward to celebrating another 75 years as well as continuing our efforts of service to the community.
