Fraternity honors Black History Month with annual competition through the Alpha Esquire Youth Group program
DGL in conjunction with the young men of the Alpha Esquire Youth Group will host the African American Quiz Bowl on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Cincinnati College Prep Academy located at 1425 Linn Street. This event is free and open to students but seating is limited. Students can register at https://bit.ly/2024AfricanAmericanQuizBowl.
The African American Quiz Bowl gives youth from schools, churches and community groups the opportunity to celebrate the achievements and contributions African Americans have made in America. The members of Delta Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. seeks to evolve the educational experience through the quiz bowl by promoting the achievements and contributions of African Americans in the Alpha Esquire Youth Group.
The Alpha Esquire Youth Group was established in 2002 as a mentoring program for youth ages 8-18 years of age and has provided support to over 250 young men. The youth group provides a conduit for the Chapters’ Project Alpha, Go To High School Go To College, and other youth development activities.
The African American Quiz Bowl will be at Cincinnati College Prep Academy, located at 1425 Linn Street Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. This event is free and open to students who are members of youth organizations.
