Annual program aims to provide financial assistance to narrow opportunity gap for African American male students pursuing higher education
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Delta Gamma Lambda (DGL) chapter, in partnership with the DGL Youth & Education Foundation are now accepting applications for the 2024 Cincinnati Alphas Scholarships Campaign through March 31, 2024.
As part of DGL’s annual outreach program to African American students, our chapter recognizes and honors the achievements of high school graduates in the Cincinnati area. Our Scholarship Committee distributes applications, reviews, and recommends applicants for scholarship disbursements. This recognition will be in the form of a certificate or a cash scholarship to aid in financial obligations associated with college enrollment.
Each year, the fundraising activities we do including the Alpha Golf Outing, The Queen City Derby Party, and others help us to provide financial relief for students pursuing higher education. As we ask the community to help fund these events throughout the year, this is one of the many ways in how your contributions are going back to those who can benefit the most - our youth.
