Swinging for Scholars: The 2026 Tony Yates Queen City Golf Classic Raises $35,000+
Updated: 1 day ago
On September 21, 2026, 140 golfers and supporters gathered on the green for the 2026 Tony Yates Queen City Golf Classic. Recognized as one of the premier annual charitable golf events in the greater Cincinnati area, this year’s classic brought incredible energy, friendly competition, and—most importantly—a shared dedication to empowering local youth.
This year we were proud to kickoff our inaugural Tennis Experience in honor of Maxine Yates. She is a tennis Hall of Famer in the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association and helped Cincinnati youth with over 35 years of volunteer service. We were honored to have her join us and offer kind words of wisdom!
The golf classic serves as a major fundraiser for the Delta Gamma Lambda Youth & Education Foundation, directly supporting college-bound students who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers, this year’s outing raised over $35,000 for higher education scholarships! This achievement pushes the event’s all-time fundraising milestone past $135,000 awarded to promising young scholars.
Every drive, putt, and donation made directly helps clear the financial path for deserving students as they pursue their academic dreams. Thank you to everyone who took to the course, contributed to the cause, and helped make the 2026 classic a resounding success. We look forward to seeing you on the green again next year!
