Annual program aims to provide financial assistance to narrow opportunity gap for African American male students pursuing higher education
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Delta Gamma Lambda (DGL) Chapter, in partnership with the DGL Youth & Education Foundation, is proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Cincinnati Alphas Scholarship Program.
This scholarship initiative is part of DGL’s Youth and Education Foundation ongoing commitment to educational excellence and community uplift. Through the program, the Cincinnati Alphas recognize and support the academic achievements of graduating high school seniors from the Greater Cincinnati area.
Each year, our scholarship committee oversees the distribution, review, and recommendation of applicants for scholarship awards. Selected recipients may receive either a certificate of recognition or a cash scholarship to help offset college-related expenses, including tuition, books, and enrollment fees.
Funding for these scholarships is made possible through the chapter’s annual fundraising efforts, including signature events such as the Alpha Golf Outing, the Queen City Derby Party, and other community-supported initiatives. These events represent one of the most direct ways community contributions are reinvested into our future leaders—our youth.
